The Galasso System

Horacio Galasso describes the increment-of-four progression in his Giochi de Carte, published in Venice.
The Cardozo System
1612
Gaspar Cardozo de Sequeira
Galasso's work was soon translated into French, and was almost certainly the source Gaspar Cardozo de Sequeira used in his 1612 Portugese book Thesouro de Prudentes.
The Eight Kings System
1805
Wiliam Frederick Pinchbeck's The Expositor
A quite old card system. Traces of it in English litterature are found in The Expositor by Wiliam Frederick Pinchbeck.
The Si Stebbins System
1898
Si Stebbins' WM. Vino's Card Tricks
Si Stebbins popularizes the Galasso System and publishes it, under the pen name of WM. Vino, in WM. Vino's Card Tricks.
The Howard Thurston System
1901
Howard Thurston's Card Tricks
Howard Thurston takes the Si Stebbins's System, gives it his name and published it in Howard Thurston's Card Tricks.
The Stanyon System
1913
Ellis Stanyon's Magic
Ellis Stanyon describes a card system in the July issue of his periodical Magic, without claiming the credit for himself or anyone else. Later this system will be “re-invented” by Jack Yates in 1978, by Boris Wild in 1996, and Charles Gauchi in 2002.

Without knowing it, Jack Yates reinvents the system published by Stanyon in 1913. He publishes it in his book Jack's Pack.

Boris Wild's Card Appeal
The Complete Boris Wild Marked Deck
It's now the turn of Boris Wild to take the system published by Stanyon in 1913 and republish it. It first appeared in his French book Card Appeal in 1996. Later, in 2001, he publishes it again as The Boris Wild Instant Memorized Deck in his book The Complete Boris Wild Marked Deck.

Richard Uhrich releases his system on Steve Bryan's internet web site The Little Egypt Gazette.
The Berg Stack
1997
Harvey A. Berg's Sleight of Mind
Harvey A. Berg publishes his stack in his book Sleight of Mind.
The QuickStack
2002
Doug Dyment's Mindsight
Based on Harvey Berg's approach, Doug Dyment publishes his system in his book Mindsight. The system is also known as The Half-Hour Memorized Deck.
The 15 Minutes No Mnemonic Memorized Card System
2002
Charles Gauci's Reputation Makers
For the third time, the system published by Stanyon in 1913 is re-invented. It is now the Australian magician Charles Gauci who does so and includes it in his Reputation Makers: USA Tour Lecture Notes 2002.
