Theodore Theo Annemann was a genius, a legend, and magics most incredible Supernova. In a mere 35 years, his creativity blazed to prolific glory most notably in the classic pages of his own magazine, The Jinx and then was suddenly, tragically extinguished.
Still, in his brief time, he produced as much brilliant magic as any two talented men and it takes two volumes of The Joyal Index to categorize and catalogue his remarkable achievements. This two volume set includes more than 1700 separate entries!
This first volume encompasses the early years of Annemanns work from 1929 to 1934 including such books as Annemanns Card Miracles, The Book Without A Name, Exclusive Secrets of Annemanns Conception and Climax Card Routine, plus all the issues of The Jinx, totalling more than 750 separate entries.
The second volume encompasses the middle years of Annemanns genius and his last contributions to the art of magic. Also indexed are Annemann creations published in subsequent volumes, such as Abrams Annemann: The Life and Times of a Legend. From 1935 to 2000, over 900 entries.
Card magicians, mentalists, and anyone who admires the brilliance of this unique master will find The Joyal Index: Annemann 1 and 2 to be an essential addition to their magic reference libraries.
I have been selling used magic books since 1994. During these 28 years, I was in contact with great customers, some of which with whom I had warm communications. It has always been a pleasure to supply books to those looking for them.
It’s now time for me to turn the page.
Our book inventory was moved to Bradbury Books, Kansas City, Missouri. The owner, Dan, has been selling new and used magic books since 1993, and offers a tremendous service to magicians.
Each week or so, his popular reverse auction goes on. New titles are added on a regular basis.
